I'm so happy to have your association especially today Vanessa with this well written topic of forgiveness. Sometimes I forget the importance of this and want vengeance instead of what is good for me. It takes a strong will of mind to offer blessings of peace, love, and joy, to one's perceived enemy. It does not come naturally, and I too am thankful for the various sanghas I attend, including this one right here with you! Thank you for this offering. CCC

Thank you, Chris! I’m glad you found as much meaning in it as I did. It’s strange how powerful reminders can be about something so universally known as vengeance and forgiveness.

Came across this line while watching the movie ‘The Interpreter’ the other day, and yes, I found it arresting enough to think about.

Revenge entails a more pro-active, even systematic aggression that at times, takes years to drive along a path in order to accomplish the desired result. In the process, it may wreak havoc in your own self in more ways than one.

However, a milder and less harmful ways of the revenge, like cutting off and relation or moving away from the person or place is something that can certainly be considered just to suppress or be at peace with the inevitable internal inundation inflicted upon you.

The emotional baggage that we all are thrusted with at some turn of our lives has to be channelized to a quiet zone within our inner sanctum so that it won’t harm and eventually it should be driven out of the system. Unfortunately, it can’t be wished away.

Somehow I skipped this blog post last week but it was still in my inbox. So today when I saw it still in the inbox I read it. And it was exactly what I needed to read today. Thank you for your thoughts and insights.
